A Queen? Has Been Crowned

I thought this was a Man's sport, but alas MN has taken the championship and now wears the crown of Havik's Weekly Pickem.

Congratulations!!!

And a big thanks to all who played. If I get enough support to do this again, we might just play again next September.
Aufwedersehen. I'm out!

Here are the final points awarded. These points include the first championship picks from week 1

Super Picks

2.04.2010

In addition to picking just the super bowl winner. I thought it would be fun to open up the scoring. I still want a chance to win dang it. SO bring on the Over/Unders. It's pretty simple really. Just pick whether or not you think the the number is over or under the recommended stat. That's all. Over 550.5 or under. Easy peasy. And I also of course need your final super bowl winner. Good gaming.

Week 3 Picks

MN only has about twenty more minutes to get her Bonus picks in, hurry up. I also like the fact that LG and CA have the same passing yards and qb rating for their first two bonus picks. EEENteresting.

Bonus Picks Week 3

Since there are only two games this week, I thought I would give myself a chance to make a mad comeback and take third place . . . maybe fifth. And Since this is a QB league right now, we're pickin' qbs. And Bart Scott, because the dudes a beast. Good Luck, but not too much.

Week 2 Rankings ***UPDATE*%$#

UPDATE*** I messed up the scoring for this week because I flat out wasn't paying attention. My data inputing skills have seriously been challenged. As you can see, SN and MN have jumped the rankings and are in full competition for the lead. I wish I could find a way to cheat myself a couple of extra points :)
Let me know if I messed up anybody else's scores.

So the playoffs are kinda hard to pick. That's a good excuse. I am now 2 fer 6 in my games, but fortunate enough to pick up a lucky point for absolutely nailin' Peyton Manning's laser rocket arm rating. But the fact remains that 7 out of 11 of us are .500 or worse. Good thing I'm going to make a mad comeback in the next two weeks.

If you've noticed that a set of seemingly arbitrary numbers are splattered by your pictures, then you are correct in assuming that our rankings are now based on a points system rather than a win loss record. The bonus picks would have a tough time factoring otherwise.

So here's how it works. Everyone submit their (educated) guesses on the three catagories listed. What do you think Peyton Manning's QB Rating is going to be in the next game, e.g. (98.4), ect.

The two people closest to each stat will acquire an extra point. So, if you've done the math, there are six extra points to be earned this week. Limit of three per person. No exchanges or refunds.

Graphic Week One Game Breakdown

So this weeks games didn't turn out anything like I thought they would. The Jet's D' showed up in a big way against the Bungles. I thought that the experienced quarterback would win at home, but Mark Sanchez was lucky to have such a wonderful supporting cast. That D can make even record setting bad quarterbacks look good.

The one pick I did get right unfortunately was Dallas impaling the Eagles through the neck. I saw this coming, but not to the degree of utter humiliation that Philly suffered to the Jerry Jones headed monster.

Once again I picked wrong thinking that New England, who have won their last 11 straight home playoff games, would muff this up so badly. Tom Brady vs. Joe (second year) Flacco sounds like a no brainer. If I would have known that Flacco would have only gone 4/10 and 34 yards, well, um, yeah who would have thunk? I guess half of you did.

Then finally, where the heck was the defense in the Cards/Pack game? Anquan Boldin was out and the two teams still combined for 96 points, 1,024 yards and 62 friggin first downs. Holy mother of Elway! Arizona ended up running past Green Bay for "The Last One Who Scores, Wins" Trophy.

Sheesh, what a week.
